History

1. Birth and early stage (1865 – 1928)

First location at the corner of Mint Street and Morehead Street in uptown Charlotte.

Second location at 600 Block of South Church Street.

The church grew to 371 members by 1921.

 2. Growth and blossom (1929 – 1950)

Third location at 1300 Mint Street in 1929.

The church grew to over 500 members with the growth of Wilmore Community.

 3. Maturity, declining, and revitalization (1951 – current)

Moved to the current (fourth) location at 512 West Boulevard in 1951.

With the change of the community, the church has declined to 90 members.

Revitalization with partnership with Wilmore Neighbors and Fresh Expressions.
