Calvary provides five adult Sunday School classes at 10am. Let us come together and learn the Word of God and live the Word in our daily lives!

Sam Hinson Sunday School Class

Sam was the teacher for over 50 years and passed away in 1986. John Tanzy, Willis Linder, Mary Brotherton, and Bob Braswell started to teach once a month, one Sunday each – then John passed away in 1993, leaving three of us until Willis moved away about 2000, leaving just two until Mary moved into assisted living at Sharon Towers several years ago. We are down to a small class now, but Hinson Sunday Class is a gathering among faithful Christ’s disciples. We welcome you to visit us and become a member.

Bill Cobb Sunday School Class

The Bill Cobb class is an older adult class that meets each Sunday morning at 10:00am. The International Bible Lessons for Christian teaching is the lesson material. The class members enjoy a time of fellowship after the lesson.

The J. Clyde Smith Sunday School Class

This adult Sunday School Class has been known as the “Pop Smith” Class for over 50 years. Prior to that period, the name was the Young Adult Class. All of the current members have been in the class for over 50 years. The class motto is “Small in Numbers and Large in Service.”

Outreach Sunday School Class

This class is made up of men and women from ages 20 to 60. Our main theme is to learn how the Scriptures relate to us in today’s daily life. We feel the Scriptures are more than a history lesson. We welcome all ages and races to our class.

10/10 Spiritual Club

This is a brand new small group for young adults at Calvary UMC. Currently we are studying New Beginnings which deals with Christian core values. Our Pastor Rev. Dr. Jae Lee is our leader, and we learn from each other. We believe that our network is a key for growing together. Come and experience our “cool” warmth!
